Integral Psychology Services was established by Flavia Bises in 2008 to provide quality, evidence based psychology services to individuals and families in Perth's northern suburbs. Our practice is now located in two venues, in Woodvale and in Sorrento. Clinical Psychologists currently providing services to clients of Integral Psychology Services are Flavia Bises, Parma Barbaro and Sarah Hewitt.
Flavia Bises is a Clinical Psychologist who has a Masters in Clinical Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts Degree with First Class Honours in Psychology. Flavia is a member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association and the Australian Association for Cognitive and Behaviour Therapy (WA Branch). Flavia is an accredited Triple P practitioner and has assisted many families develop better relationships and deal with behaviour problems through the use of positive parenting strategies.
Flavia has worked with individuals, families and couples, children and adults in a range of settings. She assists clients with a range of issues including depression, anxiety, self-esteem, stress management, interpersonal difficulties, parenting strategies and behaviour management.
Parma Barbaro received her Doctor of Psychology (Clinical Psychology) in 2005. Parma has 15 years of experience working as a Psychologist with children, adolescents and their families. Parma has worked as a Psychologist in schools (both government and private and in primary schools and secondary schools). Parma has worked as a Clinical Psychologist at the Disability Services Commission, specialising in working with children with Autism (not Autism Assessments) and challenging behaviour. Parma also has experience working as a Clinical Psychologist in a CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service) setting. Parma has experience working with children and adolescents (and their families) with learning difficulties, intellectual disabilities, disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorders, social, behavioural and emotional difficulties (e.g., anxiety, OCD, depression, adjustment disorders, anger management, emotional regulation difficulties, trauma and abuse issues, parenting issues). Parma is an accredited Triple P facilitator and has run Triple P/Stepping Stones groups. Parma has also facilitated a number of other groups with children (e.g., Aussie Optimism; Positive Thinking; Anger Management). Parma uses an evidenced based approach and practice to her work with children, adolescents and their families.
Sarah Hewitt is a Clinical Psychologist, having received a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from Curtin University of Technology. Sarah has worked with children, adolescents and adults in a variety of settings, including general practices, family homes, schools and clinics. Sarah is an accredited Triple P facilitator and has also facilitated numerous other groups for children and adults. Sarah has experience working with children and adolescents with depression, family breakdown, anxiety, and behavioural difficulties. She assists adults with depression and anxiety disorders, including panic disorder and obsessive –compulsive disorder. Sarah places great importance on evidence-based approaches, having published two research papers herself. She has assisted many families and individuals deal with issues facing them, in order that they feel they have their “life back”.
